Arch is a VersionControlSystem from the GNU project. Unlike SubVersion it is not intended as a drop-in replacement for CVS, but is a fundamental redesdign of how a VersionControlSystem might work.
The Ubuntu linux distribution is using GnuArch for all their package versioning stuff
